Here is select few of our very favorite Cannes 2008 looks. We tried to choose looks from both the big events as well as the daytime photocalls.

The Jean Paul Gaultier number that Dita von Teese wore is definitely one of the most beautiful looks I’ve ever seen on her – and she’s worn many stunning things. She looks flawless from head to toe. Rose McGowan in a Dolce & Gabbana masterpiece. Salma Hayek in YSL – it seems I’m very into electric blue at the moment, Penelope Cruz in L’Wren Scott and Kerry Washington in a stunning gown by an unknown designer. I also threw in shot of Catalina Sandino Moreno. It is a casual look but I love the dress, which gives me a superhero vibe, and those sexy black heels. I wish I could find some HQs of this. – Amy Blue

Ditto everything said above, so really no since in repeating. So I’ll continue… Va-va-voom miss Catalina, Salma’s sparkled like a diamond in this emerald gown and Frida-esque hair. Lady Bellucci couldn’t be more of the definition of a goddess if she tried. I don’t think I would have liked Dita’s white number nearly as much if it hadn’t been her. I don’t particularly swoon over the dress alone, but that woman can work anything. I love her in white and the ‘pearl’ necklace and make-up really was the icing on the cake. What a lady. My top of the crop, Milla Jovovich, has never looked more classy and stunning in my eyes, and then pulled off another gorgeous look in a beautiful turqoise number the next day. I’d also like to give a honorable mention to jury member Natalie Portman’s amazing daily frocks. – Baby Firefly

Our first Red Hot Hottie… Give a round of applause for Miss Amanda Seyfried! We love us some Amanda. She first caught our eye as the lovable airhead in Karen Smith in Mean Girls (2004, a guilty pleasure we won’t apologize for) and we’ve watched her career expand these past few years. The recent highlights include the role of Sarah Henrickson in Big Love (2006-), a teenager from a polygamist family trying to find her own identity amids it all. Mamma Mia! (2008) will be her big breakthrough role and should be all kinds of fun and the Karyn Kusama directed, Diablo Cody penned Jennifer’s Body (2009) is perhaps our most awaited movie of the moment. Hot, talented and an eye for interesting roles. You will be hearing a lot more from Amanda Seyfried in the short future.
