“Listen to me, you stupid bint. This gem is everything I came back to Sunnydale for, which has witnessed some truly spectacular kickings of my ass. Now, when I have the gem, they’ll all die, don’t worry. But until then, stay inside. And by the way, I would be insanely happy if I heard bugger all about sodding France.” – Buffy the Vampire Slayer
We went to the Twilight DVD release party at Hot Topic last night. Unfortunately the “party” totally sucked and we didn’t even get our DVD. I know a lot of people there were pissed to because like us we assumed we could drop in anytime between 10-1 and pick up the DVD, but you couldn’t actually buy it until 12:01 AM. I wasn’t really shocked by that but they really had us confused because they had signs saying if you don’t want the party just your DVD to stand in line A, and if you want the “party” then line B. Well we got in A hoping to get in and out as quick as possible (even though only so many people are allowed in because of the smaller store) but they just meant come in and shop and then go wait out in the rest of the closed off mall to let the next group in. And I didn’t really expect a grand party at all I know it’s just a marketing word, I expected people in shirts and things and chatting, but there wasn’t much talk going on so much as serious quiet waiting! Too intense for their own good!
What made us upset was we really wanted to go the movies before hand but figured we wouldn’t and just go to the DVD release and go watch it. If we had known that we could have ate dinner, caught a film and gone and it would have been all perfect. I’m sorry but waiting around for a DVD for two + hours was crazy! There was nothing to do but wait, I know at some stores they played scenes and features and did trivia but ours was basically a line and you got to shop at Hot Topic; what you could do on any day basically. It’s not like it was the theatrical release or something, it was just the DVD and all. (And I’ve already watched rips, heh!) But not even this was the actual problem really, like I said we would have made other plans instead of just waiting (getting the movie 3 minutes before someone else didn’t really interest since it would have been too late tow watch, we just thought it would be fun to come home and watch it that night, especially if you could get it early like right around 10:15 PM when we got there). But what made us mad and resulted in us just leaving early (although we only had 45 mins left to wait) was the cashier was extremely rude and thought we were fussing at here when in reality we saw it was just a misunderstanding and while we were disappointed we weren’t taking it out on her at all, but she got super defensive right away and was very rude so we just said forget it. We were sleepy and wouldn’t have even been able to watch it I mean. Thankfully I didn’t pre-order mine so I suppose I have nothing to complain about haha, I’m merely just ranting for Summer. I want the Target 3-Disc but there is no since in buying it before I go and all since I won’t have time to watch it.

“I’m not a stop along the way. I’m a destination.”
– Gossip Girl
Despite three tragedies right now (#1, #2, #3) there are some really cool magazines floating about. Including Penelope Cruz’s Vanity Fair and Vogue Spain. Also hotness, Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in Rolling Stone. Emmy Rossum also looks ultra foxalicious in Details. And Miss Anna Faris looking her hottest ever in GQ and Elle.
Not to mention Reese’s best shoot in years, Kristen Stewart looking fierce in Nylon and Amber Heard’s raven haired gorgeous self in GQ Italy. Also looking amazing, Salma Hayek in InStyle.

“I’m old, Gandalf. I know I don’t look it, but I’m beginning to feel it in my heart. I feel… thin. Sort of stretched, like… butter scraped over too much bread. I need a holiday. A very long holiday. And I don’t expect I shall return. In fact I mean not to.”
– The Lord of the Rings

I can hardly believe it! But it’s official! I am leaving for Scotland on Sunday to travel to see my buddy love, Riikka for a month!!! I’m so freakin’ excited about everything – even the plane ride, haha! This marks my first time on a plane, out of the country, let alone being solo! I’m so excited for all the places we’ve planned to go and of course ‘meeting’ Riikka. We’ve known each other for over 5 years now and she’s someone who is very special to me and important in my life and been there for the many crazy things that have happened to me. Ah! Love you girly!
We’re planning to go to the beautiful Stone haven, which is so freaking stunning. Loch Ness will be really cool too and Edinburgh is also really one that I’m sure to be stunning because of it’s Gothic style architecture. We’ll also just have fun watching tons of films and going to the cinema. There are a few films coming out in the UK we hope to see such as Lesbian Vampire Killers, Fifty Dead Men Walking and Let the Right One In; given they get released nearby. I wish Little Ashes would too. If not there is plenty of older films we will watch too.

In other truly amazing news, almost unreal to me still, we’ve booked a four day trip to Paris! Paris has always been in my top list of places to see but what makes this totally unreal is we’re going to see the goddess, the queen, the sensational Dita Von Teese perform at the Crazy Horse! (!!!!) It’s truly a dream come true to see her perform especially as her performances are quite rare, or almost impossible for someone average to go to. Crazy is also her favorite venue, so it will be so amazing!
I’m so excited to experience the Montmartre at night, see the iconic Eiffel tower in person. We will also definitely be going to Versailles, seeing the stunning Notre-Dame architecture will be amazing. We’ll also see several other museums such as Musée Gustave Moreau and hopefully the Louvre. Riikka is an art historian so there will be a huge appreciation to see things from her perspective. So bloody excited! It will be cool to also shop in general, I may look for some films with Mylène Jampanoï, she starred in Martyrs and I’m quite captivated by her and french horror at the moment.
Gosh, I truly can’t believe it! All of this kind of came up due to wishing and hoping because of some really upsetting things at the first of the month. Here’s to hoping my plane won’t crash and I don’t die of a heart attack from the excitement along the way.
