“A performance deserving of standing ovations.”
No Doubt, Rock Steady

I haven’t updated in a while. Truth is, I become addicting to just tweeting – hehe! Anyways I thought this was more than deserving of a proper post!

Last Saturday I went to my first concert, ever, insane I know. But man, what a fucking way to get addicted! My cousin and buddy Summer and I went to Charlotte, NC and saw The Sounds, Paramore and No Doubt. And It was truly a blast and one of the funnest things I’ve ever done. I’m so glad No Doubt is back – as I used to consider them my favorite band. But a few years ago when they went on hiatus was around the time I discovered The White Stripes (whom I consider my very favorite) but I obviously still adored them (now more than ever), it’s just there wasn’t much going on the past few years despite like the single’s albums and of course Gwen doing her on solo stuff. So seeing a band I truly loved as my first concert only made it even more memorable! So much fun in fact it took me like two days to recover my voice, the pain to escape my body from all the jumping and yelling. Gosh it was just crazy insane!

We went and ate at Chili’s (yummo) and then hit the highway for the show. And the traffic was just starting to get bad. Thankfully we got there just in time, as The Sounds went on right when we got in, I immediately made Summer run, haha. I’m a huge fan of them and I could care less for Paramore (although, don’t get me wrong I do like a few of their songs, but I was going to be mad if I’d of missed The Sounds! And poor Summer kept referring to them as “The Sound” haha!) Unfortunately only a few people in the pit and behind us in the lawn knew them so I was the big dork in my section rocking out – but I didn’t care and wanted to represent – hee! But they did surprisingly amazing given they didn’t have the crowd, the heat was miserable and so fourth. So that really makes me love them more. PS – Maja Ivarsson’s voice sounded crazy amazing live – wow! And Jesper Anderberg the keyboardist was giving everything just as much as them rocking out on guitar/singing.

Next Paramore went on – and the most annoying part of this was the tweenies going crazy. (And some in their Twilight shirts, haha). But the band was very energetic and made it a lot of fun. Hayley Williams was pretty cute talking too. But I was really ready for No Doubt by now… haha!

Finally after an intermission … No Doubt emerged with a giant silhouette as most of you probably know if you’ve been watching any videos, into their first song which was “Spiderwebs” (yay!). I don’t think I’ve ever screamed so much in my life (most for Adrian lmao) And after playing for about 2 hours and an encore (with Adrian in his tutu, hee!). They performed all of my favorite songs except like 2. Songs including (no particular order): Spiderwebs, Hella Good, Underneath It All, Different People, Just A Girl, Rock Steady, Sunday Morning, Running, It’s My Life, Hey Baby, Bathwater, Ex-Girlfriend, brief Detective instrumental, Don’t Speak, Simple Kind of Life, New, End It On This, Excuse Me Mister, Guns of Navarone instrumental, and I think that’s all. I may be forgetting something, haha! (The two they didn’t perform previously mentioned: “Dark Blue” & “The Climb” which I’ve always loved – but I’m completely happy because I know I could have never gotten all of these songs on any other tour because they would be promoting an album, playing new tracks etc).

It was super packed – I believe like 98% of being sold out (with the exception of maybe 10 seats – thanks to scalpers I’m sure!) totally amazing. Our seats were section 14, so were were far, but we fully saw everything (stage, screens, backdrops etc) but obviously not the demples on people’s faces or anything – lol! But It was amazing to be back and see the crowd and everyone jumping. And our seats were only $25!! Note from Verizon Wireless’s official: Capacity: 18,741 (Approximately 8,587 reserved theater-style seats and 10,154 spaces on the lawn to the rear of the reserved area-blankets and lawn chairs permitted for most shows)

There are some videos on Youtube I have posted after some pictures (not actually mine, as I was afraid to take my camera in and have it taken – which I of course regretted, but also glad I just got to enjoy the show in the moment).

Welcome to the ND concert club!

I’m going to 4 shows this tour – but I have to wait until August! :twitch: After those shows, I’ll be at 41 ND shows. LOL

It is addicting, but I love the ND shows the most!

Hi Mycah!! Did you gave away your Megan Fox fansite? I’m just really curious. Thanks!!

4 shows – zomg O_O (41 OMFG!) lol Lucky you! I can totally see why now. I hope you will have a blast, scratch that I know you will!

Yes I did Ken. I really lost interest in Megan because of some recent comments and looks, heh

Haha! As it happens, I recently went to a first ever concert myself. Eagles threw a three-hour concert in Helsinki, and it was phenomenally good! This means I will probably never go to another concert again, though, because modern-day artists just aren’t about the skill of playing instrumental music anymore.

Oo, I didn’t know you’d let go of your Megan Fox site.
