Long time no see. While quite a lot has been going on with me, I haven’t much felt like blogging but I have been making several tweets so you can always find me there. Last week I celebrated my 20th birthday and went to see my uncle in Raleigh. I had a lot of fun on the two days we spent together. We mostly swam at the pool, ate yummy food and talked. We also saw Transformers 2 in IMAX which was a blast and the movie is total fun, but it is way too long for me which I almost never say. But it’s definitely the ultimate summer popcorn flick, but not my favorite of the year so far and somehow it doesn’t live up to the first.

I’m trying to get my license soon which I’m overly excited about. Everyone is so shocked I still don’t have them which kind of pisses me off. Really I haven’t had a reason too. Since insurance is always so expensive for first time drivers I wanted to wait until I could A) have the money to pay that monthly and B) have a car of my own. I might have went the slow way, but now that those things seem stable I am ready :D Nervous about the test I’ll go try to take tomorrow though!

Anyways, let’s get into the online stuff. I recently decided to step down at several of my sites. It was something I was considering for a while but I have a hard time actually cutting down on sites. I have several, and while I admit I don’t love them all equally (some are more ‘my babies’ than others) I still greatly love working on them or else I wouldn’t do it. So after some thinking, I felt cutting back on the ones I don’t feel motivated on would probably be best. So I have decided to step down at Julianna, Summer Bishil, Megan, Jim, Gemma and Salma. All of them from various reasons to changing in appearances (Megan), fansite drama (Jim), and total stillness with their news (Summer, Julianna). And someone like Salma, I really adore, and Megan was always a fun guilty pleasure, but the sites are so insanely massive I would prefer work on sites I’m really sure about right now. Really that only leaves three sites I’m still making decisions about. Summer Glau, a lady I love to pieces. But I don’t think my motivation to make the site as complete as it could be is there anymore. Not that it ever was meant to be that (It was always a site I made for myself because of how much I came to love her from T:SCC) but now there is a bit more pressure and it’s a bad time since nothing has been announced and she tends to take gaps between working. The others, well one I will mention. I’m really beginning to become unsure about the future of Reese. I have had this big revamp planned for probably over a year and I still can’t bring myself to do it. Other things get in the way yes, but still I am never motivated to do it because to be blunt, I’m really bored with her career. Well the movies that is. The stuff with Avon is okay (perfume is weird though, do we need another celebrity scent?) but she seems to never leave these rom-coms… and filming another. She’s another who works so little. My respect and love for her is probably the only thing truly keeping me going this long. One of her new rumored films sounded amazing and I was dying for it to be next, but now there is already two other that seem to be priority above it which is frustrating if she only works one film a year or something. But that is a big decision that won’t come lightly and I’ll debate on for months I’m sure.

What does this mean about upcoming sites? Well I am not saying I’m not ever doing sites, that’s not what this ‘cut down’ is for. But I basically only want to work on the sites I’m really interested in and bring me joy rather than a chore to update, and since I have so many it’s best I do find some kind of medium. I hope to still open some of my upcoming sites one day, and perhaps even surprises. We will all see in time. :)

While I’m on the whole site subject, I am wanting to know if anyone is interested in taking over the following fanlistings. I took them over (so to speak) from Riikka several months ago and I simply do not have the time to run them like they should be. I never really got into the whole fanlisting thing I’ll admit, so I would like to see these go to true fans who will maintain them and really spruce them up like I always wanted and always was delayed on.
