On Sunday we went to a big Superbowl party. Although I was not particularly rooting for anyone (wanted the Cardinals but cared less still) I had a lot of fun. It’s funny, I’m actually not into football well don’t claim to be – I know basics and all of the sport, but whenever I sit and actually watch a full game I become kind of entranced and realize how fun and exciting it is. I mean you have to look at it this way: There are 32 teams all vying for the Superbowl. You have 31 losers. I mean look at how exciting that must be to have your team win and beat 31 other teams. It’s always someone different for the most part. Every time I always watch a full game I’m always like I’ll watch more next season and never do. But I can appreciate the ones I do watch. I suppose I’ll be worried the game will suck and I’ll lose total interest since I’ve only ever watched really exciting games. The last time I watched was back when Carolina went to the Superbowl (2005). I saw several of their games and it was one hell of a Superbowl. This year was really good too. There was a 100 foot run to touchdown which was awesome and your on the edge of your seat the whole time. Plus of course even if you aren’t a fan of football you have all the exciting commercials and movie trailers.

The Budweiser commerical was hilarious! The “Forever Young” Pepsi commercial was SO cool! Another funny was MacGruber. Will Arnet is hilarious! And also there was the awesome 3D commercials and the totally awesome tv spots for G.I. Joe, Transformers 2 and Angels & Demons. So excited for those! The halftime show really sucked ass (Bruce Springsteen, really thats the best we can do?) but overall it was fun to sit around with a bunch of people and enjoy it.

9 More days until Friday the 13th!

Well the year has come to and end if you can actually believe it! I am only posting a few films because I don’t really have time to get into all the movies I liked of course (but actually now that I look at this list, there really isn’t much else. This year sucked for cinema), but I’m only doing the most memorable for me, aka the top favorites. Also note that the majority of these are wide releases, simply put: My theatre sucks. So I can’t see many of the films I wanted to, particularly the later months and “Award worthy” ones. Also, they aren’t really in order – the best top 3 are pretty much tied because I loved them so much and have watched them about the same amount of times now.

Note: This is really a list of my favorites, not exactly ‘best’ and all. I suppose it’s one in the same, but to be clear I know I’m obsessed with Twilight and everything, but no I don’t think it’s the best movie made this year!
