Variety reports that the score for The Dark Knight has been disqualified by the executive committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences music branch from being considered for an Oscar.

2) I put up a new layout on Agnes the other day. It’s not the greatest thing, but I really needed a change.

3) I created a new LJ, right here. I don’t know how much blogging I’ll do (as I have this place) but we’ll see. At the least I wanted to share my fanart I occasionally make. I just updated with 80+ icons so check them out! And add me if you’d like.

Also, I watched Itty Bitty Titty Committee and Imagine Me & You for the first time yesterday. Both I really loved a lot. Itty Bitty was really cool and inspiring, Melanie Diaz continues to charm me. (She even played a younger Rosario in another film, bonus!) and Imagine Me & You was totally adorable! Lena and Piper was so cute and I’m now a shipper - hee! Lena has really grown on me the more I see from her, I previously had only seen her in Gossip & 300 (that I really recall her in atleast) but after seeing her performance as Sarah Connor on Terminator I really like her - which I was doubtful about to say the least at the beginning but now I prefer her over Linda Hamilton’s Sarah. She pulls of such a good American accent too! Speaking of Terminator I am really behind on the show - much like other shows right now (Gossip Girl, Heroes) due to the fact I have been so busy online these days. I really will make a marathon day and spend the whole day relaxing - if I can pry myself away from Twilight coverage - haha! But I need to catch up and also I’m itching to watch some of True Blood. I watched the first 30 mins of the unaired pilot and liked it (especially the theme!!!) but I stopped because I heard it was slightly different, and thus never found time to watch. All in time I suppose. Right now I’m also watching The L Word. I’m on the very last episode of season 2 and I’m really hooked on the show. I know Stef and Riikka ended up losing it for the show soon (I believe?) so I am worried. I really liked Jenny at the start, she was so enigmatic but lately she’s just crazy and lost and so self absorbed. But I still adore Mia. I’m a huge Alice & Dana shipper, they are so cute (esp Dana)! And I love Bette & Tina. I was even rooting for Kit & Ivan - ha! And of course Shane is great, especially now that she’s coming out of being a one-deminsional (wo)man whore. The hottest girl on the show right now though is Carmen (Sarah Shahi). Man she’s gorgeous! Picspam soon. I was also happy to see Eric Lively - I miss Disney’s old show So Weird whenever I watch him on the show though. Put this on DVD Disney damnit!

Evan Rachel Wood dumped live-in boyfriend Marilyn Manson on Oct. 23 after he tried to kick her brother Ira out of their guest house.

“Evan owned the house and didn’t want her unemployed sibling living on the street,” a source tells Star. “It was the tipping point. Evan was fed up with how controlling and emotionally abusive Marilyn was.”

Evan, 21, and Marilyn, 39, started dating in December 2006, as his marriage to Dita Von Teese was almost over.

Let’s hope it’s true! About damn time I say! Evan has too much potential to be someone who seems as destructing as Manson. I’m not trying to offend any of his fans, hell I do like some of his older songs, but after everything I have read with Rose, Dita, etc. He really seems as cliche as it is “a bad influence” and destructive. Evan is one of the most talented actresses out there, and she’s one of my absolute favorites but I, like many, feel when she was/is with Manson her whole persona has changed. I’m not saying he has totally “brainwashed” her but honestly it goes much beyond the looks here. Aside from the total “Dita look” she’s had, her whole manorisms changed, especially in interviews geared to a more ‘rock audience’ like her interview with The Sauce during the Across the Universe promotions - but yet when she was with Jim in interviews more ‘light’ she was upbeaty again. On Fuse she came across like “hey I don’t care”, and from the previous ways I’d seen her she was pretty up beat and always very respectful to her interviewers.

My whole take on the Manson thing was always like this. I was always more than a little disgusted by the video. (The song is pretty damn catching I’ll admit). After I’d gotten over that, and started to realize that despite how much I disliked the way Evan was “changing” I still could not ignore the fact that she’s such an amazing actress, and I suppose we’ll never know these people in real life so we should like them for their talents as much as one’s personality. So I’d let go of their relationship being a reason I wouldn’t be a fan. But Evan is so young, I think she was/is at this point in her life of finding out who is as a person. I’m not saying this ‘new Evan’ isn’t who she is and I don’t expect her to fully change right back - in fact I quite like the look now, but I hope she will come across the same classy, mature girl I saw before, not I’m better than ‘this’, but given her age it just seemed like she was a bit of a crossroads, like a “pick a direction” way. And given she was so “in love” (*caugh* brainwashed *caugh*, lol) with Marilyn, she’s natually more adaptable to his way of living - and eyeliner.

If it isn’t true, well then boo. I know the Manson thing is very off putting to some - and some people dull it down to just being the looks factor - which might be a huge thing for some - but I think I’m not alone when I noticed how she appears to act when she’s ‘under his thumb’.

But either way, like I said, I still consider myself a massive fan and I do support her career as an actress either way, she’s really one of my absolute favorites so I guess I’ll take the bad with the good…

Gosh! Just when Grey’s was truly making a turn around and become good again - okay, I’ll admit, I’m a big fan of the whole series, so I don’t entirely hate everything but the seasons have been slowly declining since the amazing season 2.

So here is the news, Dr. Haun aka Brooke Smith (yes, that “put the lotion in the basket girl” from Silence of the Lambs) is being totally fucked over big time. This Thursday’s episode of Grey’s is her last. WTF?!

EW says this was not creator Shonda Rhimes’ decision but rather an order that came down from the network. The ABC executives reportedly “had issues” with both the explicit direction Hahn’s relationship with Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) was taking and with the Hahn character in general.

I’m a huge fan of her character, Brooke is super funny and witty in general too - and yes I’m a massive Callica shipper (but I’ll admit, I’m more a shipper for Mark & Callie all together). But I’m truly pissed off by this piece of news - first they had the nerve to up and boot her character which has been a big light on the show for me (adored her season 2 episode fans will recall, so was ecstatic she was a recurring cast member) and now only is she gone, but will she not get a proper goodbye, but what makes me most angry with this is apparently they knew about this since let go since mid September and couldn’t make a real send off. And why couldn’t they just go and do a re-write before even entering this relationship if ABC didn’t like it? Hello it is a TV Show and re-writes happen often, I mean remember when a cast member up and offed another co-star for being openly gay and that drama and how the plug wasn’t yanked instantly… could we not have tried it and then ultimately write out Dr. Haun? Why do you have to go and pull the plug LIKE THAT? Honestly it would have took one little episode to give Dr. Haun a proper goodbye, it go something like this: Erika realizes she is a lesbian and is clearly madly in love with Callie, as you may have seen from last weeks episode which was evident. This love, while their is strong affection isn’t reciprocated back to her from Callie so Erika decides she’s gonna bid farewell - give her a hella surgery, let her be a hero for an episode and have her leave Seattle Grace Hospital and go back to either Mercy West or move on to another better place. That’s it. One episode… Now I might be jumping the gun as I haven’t seen this week’s episode but reports are she gets no farewell what so ever, in fact Smith herself says “I’m not written out. My final scene is just me heading to my car.” so I guess I’m not jumping ahead.

Then Shonda Rhimes came back with this:

Brooke Smith was obviously not fired for playing a lesbian. Clearly it’s not an issue as we have a lesbian character on the show – Calliope Torres.

Rhimes has the nerve to say she wasn’t fired for playing a lesbian - it’s so fucking obvious she was! Some studio exec clearly didn’t like the way her character was going so she was consequently fired for it. What’s so fucking hypocritical; they didn’t fire T.R. Knight for being gay in real life, they even stood by him with the Isaiah Washington stuff, which is good I know, but then to do this! I think thats why it’s pretty shocking to me.

I understand from the article Brooke says she doesn’t think it was Shonda’s fault, but Rhimes shouldn’t insult her audiences intelligence, she could at the least say this was why she’s being so abruptley let go. And again I go back to why ditch her all together? Studio heads must have gotten their heads out of their asses for a moment to read that a lesbian storyline was being created, hello it’s been going on for two seasons… why did they decide now it’s inappropriate? And for the record, no you don’t have a lesbian character on the show, Callie seems pretty obviously bi IMO. I do think there is a big difference for something like this. For one, I guess being a bi female would be more acceptable especially in major primetime TV, although yes there is a double standard for men to be bisexual. It’s like Sydney Tamiia Poitier’s character was originally a lesbian in the Knight Rider movie and rewrote as bi for the show. Obviously this would be to open up storylines, but I think also if there was ever real uneasiness with the dyke-side they would “go back” to just men and it would slowly be forgotten. It’s why some lesbians will say they are bi-sexual, to help “lessen the blow” to their families who might be unacceptable.

They even came down and told me it was a great scene — one of the best they ever shot on the show. So I was really, really shocked. I was floored when they told me [I was being let go]. And now the real kicker, I probably could have gotten over the Brooke thing after a few eps but then I read something new. “E! Online just broke the news that Melissa George (fucking love her!) who was coming in as a new character, originally as a bisexual character and love interest for Callie now isn’t as they changed the script.” DAMN IT! I’m gonna be deprived from hot fucking girl on girl action (as hot as network TV allows Lol) with uber sexalicious Sara Ramirez and Melissa too. *fuck* those bastards!

Well it’s that time of year where I begin to obsess over a certain batch of films that put me in the mood for the fall weather season and Halloween.

Here is a list of the movies I have been (or will be) watching to celebrate the season.

Ginger Snaps (2000)
By far this being my favorite film of all time it is my favorite “fall/Halloween” film. I used to watch this movie like once a month, but for the past few years I have only watched a few times a year, but I can never pass up the chance to watch it once the weather starts getting cooler and leaves change. I remember the first time I watched it at midnight on HBO, seven years ago, ah good times. It’s so funny how big a part of my youth this film was too. Ultimately the movie got me introduced to the online world via the KI Forum years ago… man I feel old. LOL. FYI, Parts II & III are more Winter feels for me.

Halloween (1978)
Can you honestly have a Halloween list and not include the ultimate classic? I think not.

Halloween H20 (1998)
This is may second favorite to the Halloween franchise - although I don’t genuinely love all of them, I do enjoy watching. However if you look at parts I & II then skip all the way to seven, and close. Well it’s the perfect trilogy. (PS: I got mega Josh Hartnett crazy after this movie LMAO!)

Friday the 13th (1980)
The ultimate Jason. But hey there is not even any of the Jason we know! PS, how come no one EVER listens to the crazy guy in town?!

The Last House on the Left (1972)
One of the most grusome, horrific horror tells, told by one of the masters Wes Craven.

Hocus Pocus (1993)
This was *my* Halloween film when I was a kid! I loved it, and yes I still do to this day! I was always fascinated by witches and this movie is just tons of fun. It always has Vinessa Shaw, one of my first lady likes! The movie also shows us, Sarah Jessica Parker used to be really hot.

Teen Witch (1989)
This movie so so quintessential 80s. But it’s cheesy goodness at it’s best! Honestly can you TOP THAT?!

Christine (1983)
Despite it’s 80s timestamp I still find this to be one of the most effective horror films for any generation. The effects for one are actually more than decent and better than half of the films that come out nowadays, a nice soundtrack too. The movie is really creepy and makes you never wanna get in a car again.

Jeepers Creepers (2001)
The opening scene still gets my heart racing. And I’ll admit, when I first saw it I did a major “WTF?” when the whole batlike creature came into play. But after the initial “Huh?” wore off, I embraced it and just love it.

Pet Sematary (1989)
Creepiest kid ever.

Cabin Fever (2002)
Leave your brains at the door and enjoy! A hilarious gorefest. And I love every single minute.

Carrie (1976)
Poor, poor Carrie White. The movie is revenge of the nerds at its finest.

Also, people say this movie doesn’t reach it’s horrifying climax until the end with the prom - but HELLO, am I the only girl who thinks the “Plug it up!” scene is nothing short of mortifying? I mean Sissy Spacek made it seem like the most terrifying thing in the world!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) & Chamber of Secrets (2002)
These two Harry films but me in the Halloween spirit the most.

Tim Burton Films
The quirky-gothic-god. Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow and while Sweeney Todd and Edward Scissorhands are more Winter films for me. I still find myself wanting to watch during the Halloween season too.

The Blair Witch Project (1999) & Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000)
Most people, either hate the first and love the second or love the first and hate the second. I might be the exception as I adore both, for very different reasons. The first sure, it’s groundbreaking and at times really creepy. But it’s not a film I’m in the mood for 24/7. And this isn’t me putting it down, Once you see it one time you do kinda loose the feeling your meant to expierence when you watch it. But I do still enjoy it. The second, while I can watch more than the first (not saying that makes it better, because the first I do think is a better film), but the second, I really like because it has a WICKED soundtrack, a cast of actors I really liked. And if you watch the film over and over you see more things which make it all the more spooky.

Now I have a lot of movies I need to watch now, many been recommended to me and some I have just never seen. So maybe those will appear on this list next year. :)
